Service Delivery and Community Safety
Practical municipal services, safer public spaces and visible responsibility.
Why this programme matters
Municipal government must be felt through working streetlights, pothole repairs, unclogged stormwater drains, and regular waste collection. Mayibuye proposes visible municipal policing, working with verified community policing forums, and transparent service charters with enforced response times.
Three principal commitments
Set ward service targets and publish performance reports for essential services.
Maintain electricity, roads, stormwater, waste systems, transport facilities and public infrastructure.
Improve lawful municipal safety, housing and settlement services, and access to support for qualifying households.
Implementation and governance standards
These commitments represent proposed municipal programmes under the Afrika Mayibuye Movement 2026 Local Government Manifesto. All infrastructure expansion, appointments, insourcing, and land releases will be conducted in full compliance with lawful municipal procurement statutes, intergovernmental financial standards, and environmental regulations.
