Land and Spatial Justice
Make municipal land a transparent foundation for dignity and production.
Why this programme matters
Land is the core foundation for human dignity and economic development. The movement commits to auditing all state and municipal land, terminating speculative land hoarding, servicing residential plots with water and sanitation before release, and allocating agricultural parcels to community food producers.
Three principal commitments
Audit, map and publish suitable municipal land and allocation criteria.
Release and service land lawfully for housing, education, industry, agriculture, recreation and community use.
Protect public land from corruption and private capture through fair processes and consultation.
Implementation and governance standards
These commitments represent proposed municipal programmes under the Afrika Mayibuye Movement 2026 Local Government Manifesto. All infrastructure expansion, appointments, insourcing, and land releases will be conducted in full compliance with lawful municipal procurement statutes, intergovernmental financial standards, and environmental regulations.
