The President's Manifesto Launch Address
President Nyiko Floyd Shivambu outlines the movement's vision, municipal commitments, and strict councillor accountability compact at the launch in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni.

Delivered at the historic manifesto launch in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni, on 26 September 2026, the prepared presidential address by Nyiko Floyd Shivambu sets out the ideological and practical mission of the Afrika Mayibuye Movement.
In the address, President Shivambu clarifies that the struggle for freedom in South Africa remains incomplete as long as millions live without dignified housing, clean running water, reliable electricity, and productive economic livelihoods.
'We do not seek public office for titles or personal enrichment,' the address asserts. 'We enter local government to rebuild municipal capacity, to put our people to work, and to demonstrate that honest, capable Africans can administer world-class cities, towns, and rural districts.'
A cornerstone of the address is the principle of 'No Representation Without Accountability.' The President reiterated that every councillor elected under the Mayibuye banner is bound by a signed public compact requiring monthly ward reporting, accessible constituency offices, strict financial ethics, and immediate recall upon breach of public duty.
